“Doctor Aybolit” in the Russian theater K. Stanislawski

For February, 22nd, 2014, the leaders of the RECEA center organised a visit to the theatre for the children and parents. The nineteen members group was accompanied by the language teacher Bella Ajunts. The returnee children were with their parents for the first time in the Russian theater “Konstantin
Stanislawski”.

There they visited the show “Doctor Aybolit” by Korney Tschukowski. They participated actively in the spectacle by helping the protagonist of the fairy tale from their seats through their responds to show him the right way and to act properly. The idea of the fairy tale appealed a lot to them. The author succeeded in showing in absolutely simple form how Doctor Aybolit can provide assistance to the people and the animals, how he can save and cure them. And this welfare of the doctor has got a reaction: all humans and animals accommodate him and help him as well. Through this fairy tale the children learn empathy and to help, which has got a sizeable impact. The children were so enthusiastic that they expressed the wish to visit this theater as soon as possible again.
